A seat map is a visual representation of a venue, aircraft, or other seating area showcasing the location of seats and other key infrastructure elements, such as the stage. Users can navigate the map by panning, zooming, and clicking for a detailed view.
Seat maps are defined at the company level, allowing the reuse of seat maps in multiple sub-events within the same project or form or even for recurring sub-events within the same event, like repeating presentations held throughout the day in the same hall.
A reusable seat map saves you time and effort for conferences with multiple sessions throughout the day in the same hall.
Seat maps can have areas like Orchestra, Balcony, or Golden Ring. If areas are defined, users will see them first on the map. Clicking on an area will zoom in and display the available seats within that section. Seat Categories for Pricing and Selection.
Each seat on the map is assigned a category, which can be used later for differential pricing or to limit seat selection for different types of guests.
Detailed seat information empowers attendees to make informed choices, improving their satisfaction.
The Seat Selection Field allows attendees to choose their seats during registration conveniently.
You can add this field anywhere in the registration form. The seat selection field settings include the seat map and a price list group.
Additionally, you can map seat categories to specific ticket types in the price list. Unmapped categories become unavailable for selection.
To cater to different types of registrants (e.g., VIPs, staff, speakers, and sponsors), use a field to store a value that differentiates and identifies each group (differentiating field).
Then, create a page in the registration form for each type of registrant with a condition based on the differentiating field value.
Add the Seat Selection Field with different settings on each page while ensuring all the seat selection fields link to the same seat map and price list group.
