The Eventact HubSpot Interface enables seamless synchronization between Eventact and HubSpot, ensuring that contacts and deals are automatically created and updated based on event registration and ticket purchases. This integration helps event organizers efficiently track attendee engagement and sales within HubSpot.

Create a Contact in HubSpot

Eventact will search HubSpot by email to find an existing contact. If no matching contact is found, a new contact will be created. The data in HubSpot and Eventact will be synchronized based on the field mappings configured in the Eventact HubSpot interface setup. In addition to custom mappings, the following data will be updated in HubSpot:

Contact Properties (Group Name: Eventact)

Create a Deal for Each Ticket

Eventact will create a HubSpot deal for each ticket purchased.

Deal Properties (Group Name: Eventact Deal)

Additional Custom Properties (Group Name: Eventact Deal)

If a person purchases tickets for others, only the main contact will be created in HubSpot, and all deals will be associated with the main contact.

Connecting Eventact to HubSpot

Go to the settings of the company and add their your HubSpot Private App Access Token

Eventact supports HubSpot's new API authentication method, which uses an Access Token instead of an API Key. You can enter the Access Token in the API Key field, and it will function correctly.

To create a HubSpot Access Token for Eventact in your HubSpot account, you need to create a Private App first. To do that, you must be a super admin in HubSpot. Click settings, then navigate to Integrations > Private Apps. Click Create private app. Enter app name: Eventact. When generating the Access Token, ensure that Eventact has the necessary permissions to read and create contacts and deals in HubSpot.

Mapping

After the first synchronization with HubSpot, Eventact will automatically create an 'Eventact Group' of properties in HubSpot.

Then, you will be able to add additional custom properties, as mentioned above.
